The popular game of Black Powder, brought to you by Warlord Games, transports players to one of the most pivotal wars in American history: the American Civil War. This conflict, which divided the nation between the North and South, the Union and the Confederacy, raged across the states from 1861 to 1865.

Black Powder – Epic Battles is based on the award-winning Black Powder Rules, with additional period-flavor tweaks and scenarios, designed to make Epic Battles – American Civil War the perfect place to get started with games set in this fascinating period of military history. Within this tabletop combat game, players can reenact crucial battles in history using dice, with 15mm figures and rules constructed by Warlord Games, against one or more opponents.

Originally created as a club game, Black Powder is built to be played on large tabletops, such as a pool table, with as many players as desired. A standard move is 12 inches for infantry and 18 inches for cavalry, so players will need to have a measuring tape handy, as they are not included.

During the course of the game, a Black Powder General will have the need to track their army's casualties. These casualty markers feature prominent elements, enabling the effective and visually striking tracking of wounds. These markers are generic in nature, making them suitable for painting up as either Union or Confederate troops.

Although designed with the Black Powder Epic Battles: ACW scale in mind, the practice of using these casualty markers lends itself equally well to miniatures games of any scale set in the American Civil War period. Each pack contains 6 cavalry casualty bases and 12 infantry casualty bases, made from Warlord Resin. The models are supplied unassembled and unpainted, allowing players to immerse themselves in the construction and painting process.
